Boy oh boy is my roommate loved. She had three days of celebration in honor of her 26th year of life. And I got to be a part of all three! Hope you had a good birthday, Janelle! As Cathy would say, grab 26 by the balls!

Janelle in front of her P-wagon. (This is a Pulp Fiction reference. Remember the yellow truck? haha.)

Having cupcakes and wine at
Sweet Revenge, a cupcake bar in the West Village. We definitely enjoyed their cupcakes.

My girls can eat!!!! Cupcakes that is.

Awkward pose. haha. I really liked the way the cupcakes were wrapped. Easy to peel.

I finally got to head down to Red Hook in Brooklyn to go to
Baked. Years ago I watched this bakery come to life on the food network-I saw their struggles, their determination. It was really cool seeing the place in real life, all that hard work! They seem to be doing really well. They're friends with Martha, they've been featured on Oprah, and now they have their own cookbook! It's very inspiring. One day! =)

I like the bird perched on top, but if that was in my apt., I'd be creeped out. haha.

We don't mess around here. We get our business done!!!! haha.

Cute packaging.

Happy workers.

Happy customer :D

I swear this dog looked bigger in real life.

Cousins!

Cousins!
Salumeria Rosi. Swine galore! We finally got to try this place! I posted about Salumeria
way back then. The prosciutto was delicious! Their little plates were delicious as well. They're served tapas style. Thanks for the meal, Al & Rose! Thanks for having a birthday, Janelle! haha.

Self-portrait.

A sampling of swine and cheese.

Look at all that deliciousness hanging in the back!

YUM!

I think they pulled these rosemary sprigs off the bush in front of the restaurant. I didn't know this until after we left. I freaking ate some of the rosemary. Who knows if they even washed it!!! hahah. I didn't get sick, so I guess I'm ok =)
This is a random shot, but whenever I look at this pic I start to DROOL! Roasted corn with mayo, chili powder, cotija cheese, and a squeeze of lime. You can get this corn at
Cafe Habana in Nolita. I love grilled corn in the summer. I miss BBQ-ing!!!!!!! Somebody throw me a steak! haha.
