A cupcake wedding...

I did a wedding over the weekend and I'm so sad that I wasn't able to take many pictures! The wedding coordinator basically told me I had to stop setting up and leave. There were some last minute changes and I wasn't given enough time. I really wanted to fix the dogwood flowers, too! Oh well. When I came back to grab my stands I ran into the bride and she said, "The cupcakes were a fucking hit!" So that pretty much made my day. haha.

Somebody....please make me this skirt! I am willing to barter. haha. It's seasons old from Erin Fetherston. I have two industrial sewing machines sitting in the garage but have no idea how to use them. I can't believe my mom never taught me how to use them. Just for that I am going to demand that she make me this skirt! This is the best idea EVER!

The funniest line I just read.

So if you don't know, Chloe Sevigny is the new "style advisor" for Elle U.K., a magazine that I love. While at the bookstore I read the article on Chloe and this one line totally made my day! It was so freaking funny.

(background info) On talking about the white ray bans she started wearing a few years back, there was quite a frenzy over them. Her publicists even had an emergency meeting with her to stop wearing them. And instead of Chloe being noted for starting that trend, it was Mary Kate Olsen who was given the nod. In response, Chloe said how she's so off the radar and that she never gets any credit and then "she bursts into laughter-and what a magnificent laughter she has, kind of like an asthmatic donkey."

AN ASTHMATIC DONKEY???? HAHHAHA. Chloe sounds really cool. haha. I thought it was funny because I totally know what it's like to laugh like an asthmatic donkey! When I laugh hard, I sound like I can't breathe and I'm kind of a loud person. Some people have admitted that I sound like a dolphin when I laugh which is ironic because it's one of my favorite animals.................omg I can't believe I just confessed that to everyone. haha. It's been such a secret. Only in recent years have I started telling people. I used to draw dolphins and killer whales A LOT in the sixth grade. They'd be jumping out of the water and i'd draw splash marks, too. hahha. Oh how i wish i had some of those drawings. They were hilarious!

I daydream of Italy often and it makes me all giddy. If you haven't been there, you must go!!!! There is so much history and so much life. I went a couple of years ago and fell in loooooove. Don't forget to eat gelato 2-3 times a day! It's the best and doesn't taste the same in the states.

Places I would like to go next: New Zealand, Costa Rica, Greece, Iceland, France, England and the rest of Europe, Japan, Bali, in no particular order =) I need to make it rain!!!! hahah. If you understand rap lingo, you know what that means haha.

I was doing a search the other day for mini antique birdcages (for a wedding that i'm doing at the end of the month) and all of a sudden a few images from Myra Callan's etsy shop showed up! I was instantly intrigued! They're beautiful and so well-crafted. I wish i could wear one everyday and stuff macaroons into my mouth. I love how happy Myra looks, too! She models some of the hair pieces and shows them off in her blog. I think it's great when people look like they're enjoying what they're doing. It makes you more excited for them! You can custom order these babies or get them quick from Myra's Etsy shop because they sell FAST.

These hair pieces remind me of the ones worn by Lisa Wong Jackson of Good on Paper (i'm sure you saw her in martha stewart's weddings magazine) and Joy from Oh Joy! They're made by K. Autumn. You should check out the feathers and baubles on her website. They're really pretty. But don't forget about Myra =) haha.

It feels so good to relax on a quiet friday evening. Life has been crazy lately and I know it seems a bit nerdy to be blogging right now, but I don't give a F. haha.

So last weekend I went to my very first baby shower in Pasadena. It was cool but very weird at the same time. Almost everyone there had a baby or was expecting one. Pregnancy must be contagious because everyone seems to be preggers!!! Come on, people! We are not rabbits!!!! hahah. I met a baby at the party and she's just the happiest play thing on earth. AND she loves my cupcakes. That automatically makes her one of my favorite babies. Meet Morgan! Her mom wrote the script for one of the legally blonde movies.

I also got to test out a Nikon D40 at the party. The expectant father wasn't doing his job so I took over. These are the pics:

There's a new deputy district attorney coming to town!!!!!!!!!! I'm giving a blog shout out to one of my funniest, dearest and bestiest friends, Cathy! She just got an offer to join the DA's office in Los Angeles and I am so freaking proud of her!!!!! She's been reaching one goal after another. Her motto is, "Grab (current year) by the BALLS!" She's been grabbing 2007 AND 2008 by the balls with no mercy. hahha. She even fulfilled her dream of meeting Sylvester Stallone of Rocky, her favorite movie EVER. Cathy, I'm so happy for you and so amazed by your drive. Can't wait until you bust out of Bakersfield to come back to LA!!!!

You don't want to get in trouble in LA or else she'll prosecute your ass!!!! hahaha. yaye!!!

FINALLY! My hair is growing! This might seem like an odd post, but this is a huge feat for me. The last time I said that i wanted to grow out my hair, I got really frustrated one day, drove 45 min. to the nearest mall (santa rosa) and chopped it all off!!! (see above photo) It was on its way to being long, too! It was the same length that it is now. That being said, I have to document this so that i can remind myself that I am growing out my hair and judy-chopping it off right now would be foolish. You see, I've never had long hair. I want to see what it's like. I think it'll be magical. haha. Wish me luck! I hope i don't cut it off, i hope i don't cut it off....

p.s. Does anyone here use picassa? I hate it, but I feel like I can't really complain since it's free. I need my old computer back.
